Project information:

March 2022. I created a new visual profile for a local pizzeria in my hometown. The pizzerias name is Valentino and was in need in graphics that made them more recoognizable, different from the competition and seemingly more professional.

WHAT IS VALENTINO?

Valentino is a pizzeria located in my hometown in Sweden. Valentino has been a pizzeria since 2018. The name “Valentino” is Italian  and while there is no direct translation to english it can be described as standing for strong, healthy and quick. From the name the rest of the identity grew.

VALENTINOS Icon symbolizes a heart in the shape of a pizza. The reasoning behind this comes from the word “Valentino”

LOGO + TYPOGRAPHY

Typography along with the logo goes back to a traditional part of pizza culture from Italy where you used wood signs with rounded corners.

COLOR CHOICES.

The color choices for Valentino comes from the name. The colors may stand out from traditional pizzerias and that is because the market is oversaturated with the italian flags colors. 

Green is generally a color which is associated with health and goes back to the name. The eggshell white resonates with the health part while going back to a vintage pizza culture. The brown exists as a contrasting colorw while going back to the more pleaseant warm pizza colors you see in crust and wood signs, wood tools etc. 

The colors as a whole creates a pleasant scheme while going away from the traditional basic designs. The point with identity design is afterall to identify, not to explain.

SIGNS.

I designed these signs for the menu.  The sandwhich board was designed with the purpose of being used outside of the pizzeria to attract gazes. The message on the sandwich board translates to the opening hours and a text that says “Welcome in”.

MENU DESIGN.

I created the foldable menu. Valentino is after all a family brand. Keeping this in mind the vibrant colors are perfect for handing out the menu, it is noticable sitting on a table and in that way works to remind the user of the brand.

SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT.

A lot of pizzerias fall short at their social media game. Social medias is key to grow any business in any range. Numerous studies confirmed it and layed the foundational plan for what kind of content i was going to create templates for. While creating the social media content i made sure to keep it consistent with the brand and to make the templates easily editable for the purpose of ease of use for the client.

The reason social media is a gamechanger for any local business is that it sets it out from the rest of the competition, makes the brand more personal but most importantly serves as a weekly or daily reminder to the consumer that the brand exists. Repetition is the most important part of marketing, thats why you often see the same ads on facebook numerous times.

Offer templates.

This template is strictly to highligt what products are on sale on for what duration respective product is on sale. The reason this template was created was because studies show that local business that offer temporary offers drive the traffic up to as much as 60% during those periods. In other words… A perfect way to grow revenue.

Assortment Template.

Going back to what i was talking to in the prior template point. Repetion is key and this template is to show their assortment on a weekly basis in order to spread awareness and to remind the customers of the brand existanse. And to be honest, who would not want a taste of that pizza?

Question Templates

This template is an easily editable questionare for social media. Interactive content is key and it has been proven that posts that sparks discussions are heavily favored by SEO (Search engine optimization). This leads to more traffic to the brands social medias and website which in turn gets converted into more revenue.  The template can also be configured for announcements.
